We create artisan lamps that turn interiors into stories. We design, manufacture and restore the shine of fixtures that build the atmosphere of a place. We combine craftsmanship, fine materials and timeless design so that every light has a character of its own.
Every lamp is made in our workshop near Warsaw. A team of carpenters, metalworkers and electricians works on every detail — from the brass socket, through patinated components, to a carefully chosen light source. We rely on durable materials: brass, steel, wood, ceramics and borosilicate glass.
That is why our artisan lamps serve for years and gain character with time — instead of ageing, they mature together with the interior.
We deliver complete lighting for events — weddings, corporate dinners, open-air parties, restaurant openings and art installations. We design the lighting scenario, select the bulbs and hang them on site, so the space works exactly as the designer intended.
We keep several hundred 1920s-style fixtures and classic Edison bulbs available for hire — if you are planning an event where light is meant to play the leading role, drop us a line.
We believe good light changes a home more than a renovation does. That is why we design lamps for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and kitchens with warm color temperature, a pleasant light output and natural color rendering (CRI 90+) in mind.
We also help match lighting to a specific interior — from the number of light points, through the hanging height, to the wattage and color temperature of the light sources.
In our online store you will find ready-made collections of pendant lamps, wall lights, table and floor lamps. But if you are looking for something more — a design tailored to a specific space — our workshop is at your disposal.
We build prototypes, select finishes, consult the design with your architect and make lamps in single copies or short runs. With no minimum order.
At Origins of Light we treat vintage bulbs — Edisons — as a design element in their own right. Their filaments, amber glass and warm light make even the simplest fixture distinctive. We work with manufacturers from all over Europe to offer decorative LED bulbs with low wattage and pleasant light.
We repair and restore old lamps — chandeliers, wall lights, office lamps, industrial fixtures and family heirlooms. We replace the electrical wiring with new, bring back original finishes and recreate missing parts. If you have your grandmother’s lamp that would be a shame to throw away — get in touch, it can usually be saved.
Any lamp from our collection can be ordered in your chosen finish, cord length or shade size. We also make fully bespoke lamps — from an architect’s sketch to a finished, CE-certified product.
