FAQ

Lamp restoration — frequently asked questions

Do you restore post-factory and industrial lamps?+

Yes — post-factory and industrial lamps are our specialty. We carry out a complete overhaul: disassembly, sandblasting, removal of the old coating, powder or spray lacquering, wiring replacement and reassembly.

Do you refurbish antique brass chandeliers?+

Yes. We polish brass, restore reflectors, clean crystals and replace wiring in line with current standards. We preserve the original patina where it adds to the value of the antique.

What does a complete lamp restoration include?+

The standard scope is: disassembly and condition assessment, sandblasting or chemical removal of the old coating, repair of metal parts, lacquering in a chosen RAL color or electroplating, complete wiring replacement, fitting of new sockets and a final electrical test.

How much does restoring an old lamp cost?+

We quote every restoration individually after seeing photos and a short description. The price depends on the condition of the lamp, the material, the scope of work and the chosen finish. You receive a free quote by return e-mail.

Can I choose the lacquer color?+

Yes — we lacquer in any color from the RAL palette, in a matte, satin or gloss finish. For antique lamps we also offer patination and brass electroplating.

Do you replace the wiring in old lamps?+

Always. Replacing the wiring in line with current safety standards is a standard part of every restoration — regardless of whether the lamp originally needed it.
